Poet's Tea

More Cheese Dreams

Flying in carriages
Skimming the crackled, sunburnt top
Of a forest I've never seen;

Another wedding dream.

Screaming fights on bleach-bright sandpaper ground,
That have no sound
But wheels
Skidding to a layby.

Who needs soaps?
I mumble,
eyes adjusting
to the strobes of morning

  • My excuse for lack of posts recently is my head-buried in books situation in June. Let the summer begin! :o)

  • I'm worried about your cheese experimentation. Surely there's some kind of support group.

  • You may laugh, but cheese is apparently as addictive as morphine: http://areyouwhatyoueat.blogspot.com/2005/05/more-on-cheese-addiction.html

    So say he anyway:

  • I keep reading this and loving it and reading it again. I have a near fatal addiction to cheese but I think my addiction to this poem is even stronger!
